I can't believe it's been five years already. They have just flown by. 2004 will be a year I will never forget. My dad had just passed away in December, I graduated high school, got married, got hired on at Memorial, and started nursing school all within 6 months. WHAT WAS I THINKING?? Looking back it's neat to see how God had it all planned out. He truly has wonderous ways of working, who would have ever thought I would get to marry this man that I had liked since I was 14. (not his mom :) long story but she didn't really like us together at first)
I met him when I was seven years old, he had just moved in and we played together at the neighbors farm. We grew up as neighbors and he would come by in the summer to fish at our pond. Ofcourse, when we started "dating" his parents moved, but that didn't stop us, we just put lots of miles on that first couple of years going to see eachother. :)
I truly have been blessed with a godly husband and father for our daughter. We have had our ups and downs but I wouldn't trade a thing. What kinda man gets up on his day off at 4:45 to bring his wife roses and breakfast at work and cleans the house the night before so I didn't have to get up to do it? My hubby.
Jacob, I love you with all my heart and I hope we celebrate 60 more anniversaries!!

ReplyDeleteThe roses were beautiful. Glenn and I have been together 20 yrs and married 14 and he has yet to clean the house for me, you lucky duck! Keep the lines of commucication open and don't be afraid to tell each other how you feel and if you are hurt by something. Just talk it out. Take care.
